Gray Johnson has spent most of his career working in the water and process treatment chemicals industry, which has given him the opportunity to live and work in many countries around the world, including Singapore, Mexico, Japan, China, and Australia. He says this experience has given him a unique perspective on many countries and places less travelled enjoying many memorable experiences with people from all cultures, backgrounds and industries.

What excites Gray most is just how vital water is to so many industries, how water chemistry impacts significantly on customers’ operations, and the role that companies like Visentia play in problem-solving and developing innovative solutions. He also loves the strategic side of the business, figuring out what the right things to be doing as a company to deliver a better result to customers.

Gray grew up on a farm in Northland where everything could be fixed with no.8 wire, so he appreciates being back in New Zealand and being able to pass on a small amount of this practical kiwi way to his kids who have largely grown up in Asia.

Dylan Harrison

Dylan is one of the most knowledgeable water treatment consultants in New Zealand, with more than 10 years of specialised experience. He has a Bachelor of Science in Technology, a Master of Science in Chemistry, along with a Masters in Business Administration.

Before he entered the water treatment industry 10 years ago, Dylan worked in the Dairy Industry as a technologist involved in the process of helping to solve production bottlenecks. At Visentia, he works with customers in the Dairy, Geothermal, Protein (Meat and Poultry), and Wood Processing industries.

Dylan, who is based in Hamilton and covers the Waikato and the Bay of Plenty, enjoys the variety of challenges to solve on customers’ sites. Finding custom solutions to fit the needs of clients is what he does best, from improving their production and safety to lowering their total cost of production.

A father of three young daughters, he enjoys taking them to their bach in Cape Colville, and getting into outdoor activities such as fishing, diving, and hunting. He also enjoys taking part in social sports, and plays the odd game of rugby.

Marty Templeton brings more than 20 years’ experience in industrial water chemistry to Visentia, which includes expertise around steam cycle, boilers, and cooling water treatment. He has 2+ years’ experience in strategic marketing and has worked for 5 years in the UK & Ireland, with a specific focus on Legionella Risk Management in a heavily regulated market.

Marty has a positive and enthusiastic outlook in life, and excels in vision, leadership and people management. He is an out of the box thinker, who enjoys the opportunity to help customer operations, whether it has to do with quality, productivity, efficiency, safety, environmental, or the challenge of finding a way to optimise chemistry programmes or do more for less.

His spare time is mostly spent with family, as he has two young children who keep him busy during the weekends with sports and other activities. The Templetons spend most of their holidays at the beach on the Coromandel Peninsula and as the kids grow up, Marty would like to put some focus into fishing and the outdoors again.
