Our Christchurch-based Chris Smaill works at Fonterra Clandeboye, also known as the Southern Hemisphere’s largest producer of natural mozzarella cheese. Fonterra’s Clandeboye site in the Timaru District produces enough of the popular cheese to top more than half a billion pizzas a year!
In his day to day working life, Chris keeps busy with water treatment, maintenance, trouble-shooting and equipment repair. He has been a valued member of the Visentia team since 2018, and says he loves how much there is to learn on the job, as well as the vastness of the industry. When he’s not onsite working, Chris enjoys music and motorbikes, and he has a special interest in everything that has to do with engineering.
